G’day! from Australia

Officially welcome to my blog, it’s time to know each other a bit more before we connected and share our journey together.

Hey again! It’s Moschan, or people here call me Mossy (very Austrayaa), and I really like it! As this is my official welcoming blog, I’d like to start by briefly talking about my past. Now, hold on, don’t go just yet! I know it might seem personal and uninteresting, but it’s a good way to get to know each other better. After all, that’s what this blog is all about – connecting with others and sharing our stories.

when I first landed and started a backpacker life in Queensland
Me (in the middle) when I was a backpacker, working at a remote resort in Far North Queensland.

So, let’s jump into it. I won’t bore you with the details of my birth or childhood. Instead, let’s start with my graduation in 2015. I finished my degree in Physiotherapy and started working in the field. But soon enough, I realized that it wasn’t my passion. Listening to the heartbreaking stories of my patients left me in tears, and I knew I couldn’t do it for the rest of my life. That’s when I started exploring different jobs, and it wasn’t long before I fell in love with freelance writing for a magazine. Writing felt like a calling, and it reminded me of my time in Sweden for a physiotherapy internship program in 2014.

Now, life can be full of surprises, right? So instead of ending up in Sweden, I found myself in Australia on a working holiday. And guess what? I fell in love, got married, and settled down in Adelaide. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I feel incredibly grateful to have my partner by my side. He’s been incredibly supportive, and I fell for his romantic gesture of quitting his job of 10 years to move back to his hometown with me.

But let me tell you, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. Being a son-in-law in a big Australian family, navigating culture, language, and age gaps have been challenging, and I’ve had my fair share of emotional ups and downs. That’s why I started this blog – to share my experiences and let others know that they’re not alone. Moving to a new country can be challenging but possible with the right mindset and support. I am here to share and tell you that you are not alone! You can do whatever you dream of or deserve, we can do this!

So, let’s have some fun and get to know each other! I’d love to hear your story, so feel free to drop a comment below. And if you want to stay updated on all the drama, you can subscribe to my blog or follow me on social media (once I figure out how to set them up, that is!).

Wishing you all fab, and I’ll catch you around!
